Don't go off on half baked idea's.  london are not part of UKFSSART and as such will not form a response.  UKFSSART is the official UK response to SAR incidents abroad.  Going off on your own will only lead to further confusion and logistical problems in an already confusing situation.  Sit tight and let DFID sort its self out - sooner rather than later would be a help though, I am as frustrated as all the rest.

In the mean time we could all be doing something useful by raising funds for the disaster appeal
