Guys;
Has any have the windows version software, of PSS analogue addressable system, the DOS one is a bit useless?
Many thanks

If it's running on DOS (which the PSS system does) then it will only run on DOS unless (if its possible) you upgrade the firmware chips.

.... we haven't got the windows version unfortunately but just be aware that if you try and use the DOS version on a windows panel there is serious risk of wiping out all the programming info in the panel....

Yes that's true, we have got both systems the one accept DOS and the later one accept windows version. and the two platforms are different

Yes indeed, it is not a straight forward upgrade.
I just hope one day we get rid off, of all old stuff and softwares; such Securiton, Minerva 80, PSS, Zetfas and so on…., they cause headaches, unfortunately our customers still use them :mad:

The problem is that it isn't easy changing the system over to a different protocol - you either have to go for a completely new install (expense that the client generally does not want to spend) or you retrofit the new equipment (which can mean significant down time of the system).
I agree that it would be good if our client service base all used our preferred panels but then it's not a perfect world!
