Title: Notifier Access Codes
Post by: AnthonyB on July 31, 2008, 05:44:31 PM
Is there a default Level 2 access code for Notifier ID 50 fire panels or is it always defined by the installer at the time of commissioning?

We have a panel like this in one building and no override key or code for level 2 access (which is required to silence & reset) and don't want to have to chase the long gone sparks that put it in.

Ask 'SirParkinson' he is good in Notifire stuff, hope he will answer after his honey moon holiday shortly. I will let him know!

Hi There, Highest Level code for Engineers NOT ESD's with Notifier is 3333.  The configuration code is unique to the panel and, I believe from memory, can be obtained if needed.  Again from memory, if you enter the wrong code in x number of times (3?) the panel returns a serial number, phone Notifier with the number and they should, with client approval, release the code.

Anybody is welcome to correct me if I am incorrect......Haven't done Notifier for around 4 years so......

:-)

Hi folks,

I think the default level 2 code is 2222 (seems to work around these parts anyhoo) - good enough for 'silence', 'reset' etc. Higher level code can be as indicated by Sir P, but can also vary (and can of course be changed once you have the higher code). Wouldn't give anything higher than level 2 to a customer though (too much pain to unravel curiousity's wanderings).
The key is one of the small bog-standard keys that you find everywhere - either code 901 or 827, can't remember off the top of my head.

Thanks all, I only need silence & reset, etc, not planning to fiddle with the programming etc.
