Hi all, I am enquiring to ask if anyone has any tips re the NFPT? I am specifically interested in the working with numbers section, does it require adding, subtracting, multiplication and division or is it more in depth?. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have my tests shortly for LBFRS. Many thanks Joe.

It involves all of the above. I last did it in 06 with London and got through. Basically the number questions go along the line a "firefighter enters a building at 1006 with 25 mins of air left in the cylinder. What time should she/he leave?". That's a simplistic question but you get the drift. I think the biggest challenge is the time factor as in you don't have much. Its multiple choice so just make sure you're colouring the correct boxes that correspond with the questions your answering. Practise basic sums that you last did in school and keep calm in the assessment and you should be fine.
