Title: gent vigilon & 800 control

hi all just been asked to quote  for maintenance on gent vigilon panels and a gent 800 panel . are these closed protocol panels and is it easy to gain access codes for these panel and what are they . if extra devices are to be installed is programming straight forward and can we get manuals for these systems as well.

Closed protocol and it definately isn't a C-TEC or a Morley when it comes to programming. If you have no experience then you will realistically have to get GENT in for add on's or modifications.

The Vigilon control panel could either be addressed or SAFE addressed.  If just addressed then when adding devices it could potentially shuffle all the devices after the newly installed device up to the next available addresses, whilst 'not' moving the text descriptions... you could come into some trouble here.

Gent high level engineering codes can change daily and the control panel is programmed to change this daily.  Codes are only available through Gents Integrators.

Regarding the 800 system: This is an entirely different animal.  Its an addressable only panel using a single loop. It runs conventional detectors with addressable bases
