Title: Multi-sensor
Post by: iclenaghan on October 28, 2008, 05:06:57 PM
Hi, I'm a new member and this is my first posting. I was lead to this website by a regular viewer who advised me a product I am promoting was discussed on this forum recently. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any refrence to it so can anyone help? The product is a multi-sensor combining smoke, heat & carbon monoxide detector, sounder, beacon, PIR detector, emergency light P.A. speaker and lux sensor. Aparently the outcome of the discussion was that it was a bit of a joke and wouldn't comply with any standards. I'm interested to know what standards members thought it wouldn't comply with. Can anyone recall the dialogue.

We are in Nanotechnology 2008, multisensors are out of date

You'll be scaring off the new members Benz!
I do recall this somewhere but (as a "component") that it wouldn't currently sit within one specific standard was a concern.

Thanks Wiz. Just what I was looking for. I couldn't see much objection to non-compliance with standards. Seems mostly unfounded pre-conceived issues. It would be interesting to see if anyone who has used it is unhappy?
