This is a pet hate of mine..Ohms Law is  Law..BUT what you mean is..there is a Formula which proves Ohms Law.

Ohms Law states that for a sample of metal at a constant temperature..the resistance along the piece of metal is constant.

The formula for Ohms Law is easy...V= I x R

 Who needs a calculator ?

Whatever happend to people being able to do mental arithetic or simple maths ?

Im no maths genius but if i can do it anyone can.

The Americans spent serious time and money on a pen that would work in space , the Russians made do with a pencil , back to basics is the only way  ;D

 Technology and Advances!!

 We fear change!!!.

As long as you know how to calculate it, who cares if you use a table or a programme.

Does that mean we should all scrap computers and programmes for everything.

I used to do the wages on PAYE tables and spend all day doing it, it now takes me 5 mins to do, VAT when manually calculating it was at least a full days job now I can do it in a few mins.
Who on here still does not have a computer to do something at work, do you manually draw plans and as fitted drawings, I take it you all walk to jobs as why would you need a car or van when you can walk, what about battery drills hand drills work.

I just love it when people say we should all go back to the caveman times!.

I say give me a computer programme for everything, the more automated the better.

I was unsure if I should use my computer for this message or get a pidgeon to fly and deliver it.

Read my post again , nothing in your post is reflected in mine , don't waste good time and money when there is an easy fix , is all I said , you don't need an accounting package to do your vat , just a simple excel sheet .  ::).

Don't be too harsh about the link Benz provided. Take a look at it. It's pretty useful because it also brings Power into the calculations.

Just enter two knowns from I, V, R & P and the other two are calculated instantly!

I don't think even smoke monkey would be able to calculate all 4 from knowing just 2 so quickly :)
