:) Hello all am a newbie to this site

I am an RDS FF for the last 14 years, I have recently been employed by my fire service to work on a operational shift station due to manning levels. The contract they gave me is extended retained hours has anyone come acrosss this before ? Fire services that have advertised Inter Brgade transfers have asked for competent FF or competent wholetime Ff however my brigade have no resources to allow NVQ Level 3 training for RDS, can I use my Personnel Development Records as evidence of competence? Where does being competent start and stop . And  I should not walk straight over to wholetime duties I believe a system of development needs should be in place.

I am currently doing my PQA's for an application form does anyone know where I may have them checked before submitting?
Any help or advice would be great   :-\
