Title: Advanced Panel
Post by: Galeon on December 16, 2008, 09:06:26 PM
Strange one , 4 loop panel some 4 years old , standard on board alarm circuits activating without fire condition on panel . Checked programming nothing strange ie faults set to sound alarms , no remote evac incoming . Evac button not been pressed , can only think of shot motherboard , any other ideas. ??? ???

Indeed; it could be the PCB either the main one or the loop card that sets alarms..., you need I think an internal reset, then see what happen, if not replace the PCB

I have seen similar case once with HAES panel and once again with firesense

It is a strange one.... I would replace the main motherboard PCB, I cannot see what else it would be

Just to throw in some options of what it could be.

Maybe a faulty call point, the fast interrupt might be being triggered but not there long enough to generate a panel condition, any external ones that have water ingress?

Or an earth fault, earth faults can cause some weird situations.

Does the Panel have Class Change inputs, just a thought before you replace the board!

No mate - you have to go into the cause and effect programming to set it up.

are they going off at certain times and when they do go off what does the event log show?

try setting the log from standard to diagnostic.

You have possibly already done it, but have you phoned Advanced. In the past I have found them really helpful with these sort of problems.

We mainly use Advanced for our new addressable jobs and on the whole I have found them fairly bullet proof panels.
