hi there,
can anyone tell me how to go about joining the mod fire service?

It used to be a case of writing to the station that you are interested in, but these days they probably advertise in the Local Press. I've been out of the Service for ten years now so perhaps somebody still serving can advise you better.

The advertise localy depending on the station. You might try a search for Firefighters on the job centre plus website. Jobs are few and far between you'll be lucky to get in.
