I've had a request from someone at BRE for urgent information. Below I've copied the e-mail I received.
"We have recently completed what we believe to be a world first - a fire test in our lab on two cars in a mock-up stacker.
There are lots of types, but this is a typical sort, which we based our rig on:
We now need to know urgently whether any members are aware of any cases of a fire in a car or cars in a stacker - of any type, anywhere.
We are happy to discuss details of any incidents with the investigator by phone.
Please could you circulate this request."
If anybody thinks they might be able to help I can forward contact details for this person. Further information about the test they did can also be obtained if needed.
Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm afraid I don't have any further information to hand however if you want to contact a Martin Shipp I can e-mail you his contact details. A Paul Jenkins who he knows can also give you some more confidential info about the test they carried out, I'm sure Martin Shipp will have this, sorry I dont.

Not very confidential is it!

I like and see your point.
As to the actual question though I do not have any more specific info about the test myself.
