Title: Repeater Panels

Hi

Can someone tell me if there is a need under 5839 to have repeater panels with an LI system for a large building...ie a hospital

Under HTM I think it says repeater panels are to be provided at nurse stations.  This would be a minimum of course

 i've just scanned through HTM 05-03 Part B and can't see any reference to repeater panels at all

Depends on how the lads with the big red things with blue lights enter the building. ;)

sorry to drag this again...but does anyone know where in the HTM that it says repeater panels are required?

HTM 05 03 Part B: 4.33

Additional control and indicating equipment,
capable of displaying the location of an alarm
incident to a similar degree to that of the main
panel, should be provided in each and every
management unit, and in any case such that the
travel distance to an indicator panel does not
exceed 60 m. Further control and indicating
equipment should be provided where required
by local evacuation procedures; in particular, a
repeat indicator panel should be provided at the
evacuation control point of any escape bed lift(s).
This should be the subject of consultation
