hi all
i have 2 sites with ems radio systems installed.both sites have displayed UHF TXER FAILED HEALTH CHECK.we powered both systems down and checked the ribbons on the pcbs and powered back up again and they where ok for about a week and did the same thing. the systems are both under a year old .ems say there is no manufacturing problem. has anybody else had this fault on there systems

Basically the UHF transmitter has or is having a problem sending out.
You wouldn't normally notice this unless you are doing rx tests on sounders, or until you hit a call point and no sounders go off..!
It's a serious problem and you need to get it sorted.
EMS have a two year warranty on their kit, personally I'd tell them I want the panels replaced, no question.
The problem could be associated with the radio board, the back board or the door (most likely) or ribbon cables/connections and unless you have the time and inclination to start swapping boards out until you find the one thats causing the problem I'd get complete new guts for the panels otherwise you'll be going backwards and forwards till the cows come home.....

Blimey.... and i hear they laid off a few staff.... shows the last time I bought one...!
... Mind you I do have half a dozen panels going spare at the moment.....
