Post by: Davo on August 03, 2009, 03:06:17 PM
Fellow Posters

The above panel, 4 years old, shows common fault and system fault lit, also system normal on front display
I tried to interrogate but nothing happened
I looked inside, two yellow LEDs flashing, Host RX and Host TX

Am told the panel is u/s

Can anyone please enlighten me as to the problem?

thanks

ps is it usual to join internal electric feeds to panel wiring by twisting and covering with Denzo?

Actually, yes, haven't looked at it though

If the display is showing healthy then there is a chance that there has been a fault but it has cleared.
Try pressing SW2 on the MCP card (back of the door) to clear the System Fault.
It's a VEGA for future reference by the way - you could try and talk to KIDDE themeselves as I always find their tech support great compared to a lot of others.
