Anyone any ideas where I can find multi lingual Fire Action Notices, suitable for residential accommodation in a hospital. E.g Urdu etc.
-
see the fire kills web site
http://firekills.direct.gov.uk/index.html
notices in other languges
-
Which exact languages - Several European language fire action notices can be obtained from several signs companies & also UCL (whose are free save printing and laminating).
Middle Eastern & Asian Languages are not so readily available surprisingly, beyond general leaflets for community fire safety, such as those linked to above.
There is enough info in the linked leaflets to allow a fire action sign to be produced - if you want them in the Safety signs colours and pictograms I can help you - PM me

From personal experience, please remember that some people, particularly elderly asian women, cannot read at all.

Absolutely - draw them a picture!

Yes I'm sure there's a CoP/EN/Guide/RA/Guide to the RA (probably in braille)/ self help line and community action support group somewhere that will tell you what colour, how big, which way it should face and probably where to stick it too....!!

Wee B online, gosh. What type of picture would you like, Kurnal could look like Brad Pitt for a day, that might get a response from them!

The picture would have to be tactile and possibly scratch and sniff. Perhaps it should be in sanscrit.
