Title: Electronic Tablets for Audits

Post by: Phoenix on October 06, 2009, 09:35:49 PM: I've come across a few brigades who have started using them - none yet that fully endorse them - even though it's at least 5 years since they started to appear on the scene. Maybe some do fully endorse them - I don't know.

They were introducing them in Bristol about a year ago - email me and I'll give you some names you can contact to discuss their viability.

I'm a pad and pen guy myself - and I certainly never got to grips with that CFRFRMSIS malarky!

I belive Shropshire have been using the tablets for about three years now.

Post by: Cullenloon on December 17, 2009, 10:25:48 AM: SYorks used them for 3 years. Due to the problems with battery life and the problems of inputting data using the stylus, as well as interfering with the flow and client/officer communication during audits they were replaced with laptops.
