Boys ,
Can you put your thinking heads on and give me any info on this , appreciated, thanks .

I have the 1988 BS here, but no sign of any amendment. Nothing on the technical indexes, or on BSI, or on google to hint that such an amendment took place.
-
Where did you get this from - perhaps it was a slip up and they meant the 2002 edition for which there is an AMD1
-
I have BS 5839-1 -1988 Incorporating Amendment Nos. 1, 2 and 3 so assume there must have been Amendment 1. But what is your query?
-
There were a few amendments to 88... I think short circuit protection ie. fitting resistors to call points came in as an amendment, and detector head removal monitoring was also an amendment....
.....however I am another year older now and the oldest brain cells are definately dropping off.....

Galeon, I have the 1988 version, and, funnily enough, have just arranged for a client to be furnished with a copy that includes am 1 and am 2, it was later reprinted with am 3. Am 1 was a slip, not a reprint.
If you give me an auntie nell on the old dog and bone tomorra, I can maybe give you the gen on it. Be careful on the vincent price while the current brass monkeys are in urgent need of welders.
