Title: 5839 part 3 1988 - amendments??

We have two copies of BS 5839 part 3 on our system (I just downloaded the 2007 amendments).

Our old one has amendments made November 1998, while the "new" one has amendments 1988 & 2007. Is this just a typo???

 One of them is obviously  wrong but I am not sure whether 1988  or 1998 is the correct date for the amendment 10207.  Since this amendment was so minor- a note in the forward -  I guess it doesnt make much difference does it?

The second amendment is, I presume, mentioned in the Foreward but seems likely to be very minor as no further detail is given as to Chapter and paragraph.
