Post by: Midland Retty on June 18, 2010, 05:13:02 PM
Dear All,

Im trying to source some old BRE research documents / reports into fires in park homes / static caravans / retirement parks.

I cannot recall the title of the report and Im therefore struggling to find anything t'inertnet - can anyone remember what it was called?.. or better still has anyone got a copy they may be able to share?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Retty

was it the IP15/ 91 document listed here?

http://products.ihs.com/bre-seo/perfor02.htm

Heres the precis
Fire spread between caravans
Describes work carried out to examine the spacing difference between park homes (mobile homes) and holiday caravans. Ignitability tests were conducted on samples of caravan material and two complete caravans were fire tested. Construction materials, combustible items kept near the caravans and fire screens were factors considered. IP15/91

Sorry to say I dont have a copy but it would have been used as source data for the model standards. I do have copies of those - they are freely published by most local authorities.

Thanks for your replies folks - BRE 15/1991 was the one - was having a "junior moment" and couldn't remember the title!!
