Post by: firefightercw1 on July 23, 2010, 01:41:53 PM
Hi all, i have an inter service transfer interview pretty soon, and im just wondering what to expect?? they haven't said if it will involve any PQA's or anything, just a panel wit h a group manager?? any views would help. im reading the IRMP's and swatting up on all the fire stations and manning levels in the county.

Where are you going from and to?

I would think the interview may vary from service to service as not all are on board with the PQA's. It would be adviseable to prepare a few though so you're not caught out!

If I were you, I would be looking at the PQA questions on www.fireservice.co.uk as they are good guidance as to the possible questions you could get.  I would also find out everything there is to know about the new brigade, it's size, number of stations, the high risks in the area, who are the principle officers, any IRMP plans etc that you can get from their website as this shows you have an interest in the brigade you wish to work for.  Good Luck
