The following announcement by the Fire Minister may be of interest to some members. The government has announced the end of regionalisation for UK Fire & Rescue Services

Sounds like good news, but I will reserve judgement until after the battle over the loss of the regional jobs is over.

Hopefully we can now stop fitting smoke alarms for people affluent enough to get their own and concentrate on operational training.... I am not optimistic!

IT was always regionalisation or Privatisation, smaller brigades will be picked off
