Title: Crimewatch Solved
Post by: firstforensic on September 03, 2010, 09:24:46 AM
Couldn't believe my ears so I had to watch it again on BBC iPlayer.

During the course of a fatal(murder) fire investigation the brigade investigator says - "plaster had fallen off the walls - this only happens at temperatures in excess of 1000 degrees".

Does anybody know who is teaching this nonsense? or is it individual myth making?

interesting crossover between the brigade fire investigator's utterance and the thread on expert witnesses.

(I know there is a difference between what is said outside of court, and under oath, but such statements do colour evidence before it can be exposed to examination)
