Title: Occupancy factors
Post by: Mushy on September 30, 2010, 02:15:18 PM
Hi all

I'm trying to find out if there is anywhere apart from Building Regs that give the occupancy factors for offices. If memory serves me right BR gives 6sq.m of floor space per person (i'm willing to be shot down if it's not :) )...but is it covered in the H&S Regs as well and if so does it differ?

Cheers

It depends if you are talking about the guidance or the legislation.

Legislation:
RRFSO indirectly controls occupancy.
I believe that the Workplace (H&S) Regs indicate that 11m3 is a minimum, and was discussed in another thread.

Guidance:
BS9999
BS5588-3
