Currently work in large public building with large public traffic, we have a good evacuation procedure which is practiced monthly and through unplanned evacuations works well. Back of house area's currently have fire marshals and work on a goodwill measure, training is offered via on line and also face time however due to redundancies etc it is difficult to recruit for replacements.
L1 fire safety system and 24hr manned security.
Training is undertaken annually and refresher training offered as required
All personel are responsible for their own fire safety so why have fire marshals?
what are the legal requirements for fire marshals (back of house).
Can we remove the emphasis on fire marshals and have security or duty manager meet & brief the fire service?
