Title: Standardising stn training
Post by: borobarmy on July 13, 2012, 12:28:23 PM
Hello all , I have recently been tasked with standardising the training in all 3 stations in my district . Many of you will remember years ago no matter what station you were on or shift you always knew what the training was going to be . Naturally now flexibility has to be present but its slipped a bit too much whereby we basically have 12 different systems .
We naturally work to the same guidance and notes but very different frequencies .
Anyone tackled this before or indeed any thoughts ? Id be really grateful as im not a believer in re-inventing the wheel . ;D

I'd consider basing training around two main elements:-

You could also do themed training around a rolling program, such as one week it's Hazmats, the next week it's save and preserve life etc
