I am finding numerous premises with plastic drainage pipes which penetrate floors and ceilings. Where these are enclosed at both levels I would be happy but I have recently found soil pipes in a hotel which go from a bedroom down into a garage. The bedroom has FD 30S door and there is L2 AFD.
I would appreciate views and opinions of colleagues on whether they would expect intumescent collars or similar in this and similar instances.

Jakespop Have you considered the guidance in Approved Document B3- section 10 ?

Have a look at the ASFP guide for risk assessors - you'll find some useful stuff in there

I think that if you use approved document Part B you want Section B3, Table 3, for pipes passing through a fire separating element.
