Title: School Care Takers Home on site.
Post by: memnon on November 12, 2012, 09:41:14 AM
Hi all,
Just a quick one.
Is an onsite detached house provided for a school care taker covered under FSO? I think it is but would welcome your thoughts as I will need to justify this to school governors.

I would suggest not. It is his private dwelling in single family occupancy.

Agree with you NT. Now, it house was attached to school or other building which is  work place then, you would consider ensuring house residents are safe from t'other. If the caretaker carries on work which is to the benefit of the school, then those parts of the premises would count as in home working.
