I was informed the body LACoRS now no longer exist? Is that correct, does anyone know the details? You can still download the guide but if LACoRS does not exist is the guidance still valid?
-
Unless the replacement body/bodies or other parties issue something superseding it I don't see why the guidance suddenly becomes incorrect & unusable just because the authors have ceased to be.
-
From July 2010 it was called Local Government Regulation and is part of the Local Governement Association and yes the LACoRS guidance still exists and is extant.

Hi Tom, am I missing something? The link doesn't tell me much?
Thanks

Hi William it adds a little to what Jokar said, but you need to look elsewhere for the Lacors guide.
The resident landlords association at http://www.rla.org.uk/docs/LACORSFSguideApril62009.PDF is one for the Lacors guide and the Local Government Association http://www.local.gov.uk/ does provide the "Fire safety in purpose-built blocks of flats guide".
The re-organisation of governments websites does seem to have caused some confusion.

Understatement of the year!!!!! I was trying to look for some fire service circulars yesterday which was a nightmare (thanks to other links I managed to find the ones I was looking for) and other recent visits to search CLG has been a painful experience.
