I could have posted this in the current UKAS thread or the one under Operational. The article below makes for very interesting reading but of particular note is the survey being conducted by Inside Housing on the confidence of Responsible Persons in their housing stock and the competence of the persons conducting the FRAs which may add to the threads.

Nulogic not new and have no idea what logic is in regards to fire safety in social housing, but then i suppose I am biased as I have seem some of the assessments that their assessors provide.

I was at first a bit puzzled by Chariots posting but following a bit of research all becomes clear. The survey being publicised by Inside Housing is being run by a company called Nulogic Software Ltd who are in the business of carrying out fire risk assessments using their bespoke IT solution.
Am I right in thinking that the "survey" is probably nothing more than a marketing exercise by a fire risk assessment software company? Despite many of the questions in the survey Nulogic do not appear to claim any form of third party accreditation on their own website. I can see no reference to registers of fire risk assessors either.
The only assurance of quality is as follows:
"The use of Notepad Tablets and nulogic's bespoke software enables this process to be carried out more effectively.
It helps to ensure that all compliance measures have been evaluated by the assessor before the inspection can be classed as complete.
The third party checks on the report carried out through the ATK system ensure that the assessor's opinion of the required measures for compliance is reasonable.
This third party check is carried out by staff previously employed by Local Authority Fire Brigade as Fire Safety Order Enforcement Officers."
Perhaps Inside Housing should explain what is behind their "Survey"?

Hi Kurnal,
That is exactly what I was trying to say. They duped our "responsible person" who was extremly impressed by their IT based system unfotunately if you put rubbish in you get rubbish out.
As you may guess I am not their number one fan.

The IT side is nothing new either, we've been able to offer clients those systems for years. We've also ISO9001 (not just preparing for it) and going through BAFE SP205.
Most importantly we were a H&S/Fire firm years before going all IT, not an IT firm that's gone into H&S. The data needs to be correct or no matter how fancy your system it will just churn out impressive nonsense.
