Technically, would the The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996 apply to telephones for calling Fire Service?

The new BS EN ISO 7010 2012 sign seems more appropriate and I would think it better than the The Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996 sign which will be amended soon because the above standard is an EC norm I understand.
