The next FIA CPD event looks like a day not to be missed.
Fire Risk Assessor – ‘Are Lessons Being learnt?’ CPD day
Thursday 4th July 2012, FIA Office, Hampton
This full day seminar will look at some of the major fire incidents such as Shirley Towers, Penhallow, Lakanal House and Atherstone.
Whilst primarily aimed at fire risk assessors, these presentation will be of interest to the whole fire safety/protection community. The presentations will look at the reports of what happened and the conclusions drawn from each.

10.01 – 11.00 Case study : Shirley Towers by Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service
1130 - 1230 Case study: Penhallow by Cornwall FRS
13.30 – 14.30 Case study: Lakanal House by David Crowder, BRE
15.00 – 16.00 Case study: Atherstone by Jim Onions, ACFO, Warwickshire FRS
The full day event accounts for 6.5 CPD hours and every attendee will receive a certificate of attendance after the event
