Title: Water Mist System Fire suppression standard
Post by: eddy orr on August 23, 2005, 11:30:11 AM
Does anyone know the current state of play of the new European water mist standard (CEN TC 191).
Also,
I know its a long shot but does anyone know of any full scale trials of a watermist in a machinery space (>250m3) that have been carried out recently, or are being carried out now?

I understand that BASA and UK sprinkler industry are not happy with the European Draft; however, the 'water mist' industry here are trying to produce something which is due out shortly - watch this space.

Eddy,

You can locate detailed information of machinery space tests at http://www.sp.se/fire/Sv/PDF_reports/SP%20Report%202003_19.pdf I have also worked in this facility on 250m3 water mist tests. If I can help any way please e-mail me.
