We recently moved to Barbour Index after using TI for years.  I have been impressed by Barbour- they have a service where, if you are searching for an older version or superceded document, they look through their archive and send you a copy if they have it.  For example, a while back I was doing some research and asked them to look out a copy of an old healthcare fire standard, HTM 16.  It was published back in 1966, but Barbour found it for me and sent a copy through.

New standards tend to take a month or so to appear on the system, -they've got PAS79 available for download so there's no need to buy it from BSI!

Probably money, but we don't have any problems with TI.

My organisation subscribes to Ti onestop which has served us well up to now, however they they do not have PAS 79 on the system.Strange really because a colleague of mine informed me thet he accessed that document several months ago. Has it been taken off !! Your comments would be appreciated.

My goodness- It has been taken off Barbour as well.

Blimey- did Mr Todd find the loophole and manage to close it in order to secure his income?

Barbour Index is expensive enough without having to purchase other BSI publications separately.

Is the Barbour index something to do with hairdressing?

No, but they will probably have some technical publications on it whereas TI may not.

There never was a loophole. It was never meant to be on these systems in the first place.
