Title: Xmas market
Post by: Davo on November 25, 2015, 10:01:52 PM
Been to a large xmas market today at a large stately home...........(>>>>!)
Held in front of the stables block, over 100 stalls closely linked in rows.
Didn't see any FP or warning system anywhere, any comments please

humbug!
Usually these events are managed entirely by a third party with oversight by the stately home  events and security teams so it's a bit surprising if fire safety was overlooked completely. There is however a dearth of guidance in respect of the risk of fire spread, so this aspect may well not be considered. Access for appliances, hydrants etc is another concern. Nowhere near me I trust?

Ah. You should have called in for tea and tiffin.

It was decided that they no longer  required the services of a fire safety consultant or internal competent fire advisor last time  they restructured. Fire is exactly the same as any other H&S issue after all.
