A good reminder of their failings - I love that top picture with the cable tie securing the pipe collar!!

Best avoided completely, as its usually the case that the situations where it does have evidence of fire performance are so restrictive that it's almost a waste of time putting the stuff in.  Some of the "4 hour" materials' small print reveal that they only claim to be fire-resisting in small linear gap joints when backed with rockwool!

Saw some of this around steam pipes in a nuclear power station many moons ago - the heat had caused it to discolour and degrade & it was falling apart simply from the heat from the pipes!  Needless to say I had it ripped out...

Having said all the above, it's extremely effective at holding my double glazing in (well, so far...)!
