anyone/organisation considering holding a meeting to discuss/consider ADB, can i recommend brian martin (bre) to make a presentation to the gathered throng?
he just made a presentation to the fbu fire safety bods at eastbourne - it was very well received, and i would recommend it to anyone (the presentation, not the proposals LOL!)

IFE Technical committee will be commenting, Davey.

Dave, being a very lazy person, would you have Brians contact details?
Also, being equally mean, are Brians services expensive?
I was thinking of a local presentation to our fire safety practitioners and other local interested parties, but I am keen not to replicate the now common high cost seminar!

mike, you lazy? and i was lead to believe that there was no place in the modern fire service that allows people to be lazy?
and i am equally sure that you are well enough informed to realise that the closing date for consultation has ended? and that my post was specifically made under the heading ADB consultation? or am i assuming too much?
i also assume - possibly wrongly - that laziness is a form of arrogance, a bit like someone expecting others to do work for them that they could quite clearly do for themselves, if they were bothered that it is?
the position you take re payment for someones services is interesting? you support competent persons, yet you make mention of wanting to get them cheaply? a bit strange i may add! isnt that a bit at odds with your principles?
its also a bit strange that you mention the high cost of service provision (identified as a 'seminar') yet make no mention of the quality of service provision. also a bit at odds with your principles isnt it?
you are of course though consistent in your use of 'throw away' phrases such as the words 'now high cost seminar' for instance. there is a place for consistency apparently.

Been away Dave?

mr smiff, i have just finished the response to the recruitment and progression consultation - its now with the EC for approval - so i have returned to the cut and thrust that is firenet!
mr groendraak, i have been known to amuse some who resort to this sad lonely place, i have even managed to offer some useful information to some others. of course the capitalist masters would rather have me lashed, me, i'd rather be lashed at colins party - but unfortunately ..............

We will drink your health anyway at the party, Davey. Its good to see you back. The conservatives were taking over in your absence. We needed an old fahsioned revolutionary to liven things up.

mr todd, thank you for your kind thoughts. may i be the first to wish you and your family best wishes for the forthcoming festivities. you will note however that santa's red coat has less white fur and a lot more red on it this year - apparently it looks very similar to the late 'chairman mao's' tunic - its cut a little higher around the neckline than that worn by santa last year, but it could become popular with the masses.

Dave. Thank you for your response. You reply answered more questions than I asked.
-
mike, i am pleased to be thanked for my response. if i did answer more questions than i was asked its possibly because i was trying to be helpful.
