Title: Ff who have transfered from DFS to LAFS

In light of my recent post,are there any Ff's who have been sucessful in transfering from The Defence Fire Service into a County Brigade that could advise me on which Brigades to contact and what steps I should take in order to get the ball rolling!

Will investigate for you if required. I left DFS and had to do a full training course with a local brigade. You are now correct with IPDS, that you could probably find a LAFB that will at least give you the opportunity to transfer across.
I would try a few including the Brigades in the North East Region as they have started to take transfers from Retained Firefighters.

I am also contemplating a transfer from the DFRS in the near future and would be grateful for any info on this topic.  I am currently in the retained and am looking to use these competencies.
