Is any one enroled or thinking of enroling on the FSCs Degree in Fire Service Management/Studies in the near future? If so is your brigade funding it for you?
-
I did my degree via the FSC.... I had to fund it myself but the brigade did refund most of it once I had actually passed and gained the degree.

Thanks Bluefire1 for your reply.
Do you mind if I ask which degree you did and did you get much in the way of APL/APEL.

Sorry for the delay... been away for a few days
I got 2 credits for the completion of the DCC course and the rest was made up of 1 for a Management Studies project, 2 for the Double Module project (FCM) and 1 for the Directed Workplace module. The APL had to be shown in the Directed Workplace module and accounted for 0.25 of that credit.
Others I know have gone the same route and have to show more APL, depends on the approach... doing the DCC allowed some pre-accredited APL element as you needed to have achieved a set standard to get on the DCC itself.

Thanks Bluefire 1, I have sent you an email.
