Title: Guidance Notes
Post by: David Rooney on March 22, 2006, 01:08:59 PM
A couple of years ago I was given a guidance note (Number 64 comes to mind) issued by the LFEPA on electronic door latching/ release mechanisms and there relationship to fire alarm systems.

I was told at the time that these guidance notes were not for "general distribution".

Can anyone tell me if these notes are still in existance and are available ?

Thanks

It was deemed to be a good idea to put the most popular/useful guidance notes on to the website but, like so many good ideas, it hasn't happened yet. The notes do still exist and I can send to you by e-mail or snail mail.

Several other brigades such as Herts & West yorks do put all their Guidance notes on the net, both the public ones & the Service Orders used to guide FSO's.

Good old FoI Act!
