Ant. It's a new style hold open device which will release the door eventually in the event of an outbreak of fire. Much more reliable than a metal can which will never burn away.

Seems OK to me as I thought we should all be looking to recycle our old extinguishers ::) ::)

Nah, Davey, its London I/Os that get recycled.  They put their brains through a washing machine and they come out the other end with fresh thinking.
