I have received various enquiries this year as to whether I would be revising my books on BS 5839-1 and BS 5839-6. The new revised versions of both books are now published and are available from BSI.

Perfect - these get me out of many a lengthy discussion with those that think they know, I can show them my advanced FIA Design qualification, and they dont believe me, pull out a BIP with your name on it, and they suddenly agree.....Lol!
Where do you ever find the time!
Now that I have buttered you up - are you doing refreshers for the 5 day FRA Course, either in the near future or after the PAS79('s) have been released?
Thanks
Bill

Wullie, Thanks for your kind comments. Truth is we never had much demand for the refresher, but you have given me an idea. Do you think that there would be value in a sort of one day conversion course from PAS 79:2012 to PAS 79-1 and PAS 79-2.
If so, I can out it to the training team.

Colin,
I for one, would be keen to do a one day upgrade on the new PAS 79-1 and PAS 79-2

I agree, it would be useful, did one of CT's 1 day sessions on the NFCC Guide and that was well worth doing, this should be too.
-
I would be interested too Colin
Will there be a buffet? (asking for a friend)
-
I have PASsed the above comments onto the training team. many thanks for the suggestion.

Apologies for the delay, like the others, Yes I think there would be a benefit!
Bill/Wullie, call me whatever, just call me to tell me when!

On the note of 5839-6 - nice of the Scottish Government to start dropping leaflets now through letter boxes telling People they have to February to comply with the new Legislation..... ::)

That will keep you busy Grey Ham, except that all they need are Li battery operated and some double sided sticky tape. Time enough, but I gather it may be delayed for a year (for the double sided sticky tape manufacturers to get additional manufacturing facilities set up).

Its been delayed but you are right - I was only going to entertain the 10 year fixed cell with radio link but maybe with the use of screws - I am not the local FRS ;D
