They will pay the guy a day rate of USD $640-844 per day worked based on office Hr's 8 five day week when in Head Office  and on site  6 days week 10 Hr day.

Accommodation Allowance of USD $2000 per month Car allowance of $750 per month Mob/Demob flight provided
4 months in Doha / 2 weeks at home location flights provided or allowance/not paid for 2 weeks off.


 Key points regarding Spec are Safety Loss prevention Engineer with design experience of High rise structures including office buildings,  medical  center,document centre, training  facilities  and  sports & recreational facilities. Either from a consultancy or client background.

B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical/Instrumentation/safety or Fire Engineering with specialization in Loss prevention.
Membership of occupational safety & health (MIOSH) or equivalent with chartered status Sound  knowledge  of  International  standards  for  Fire  ,  safety  and  loss  prevention  and  their provisions/guidelines of best practices.
Adequate skills in normal Computer application like MS office, Excel, PowerPoint.
Familiarity with design software for Loss  prevention  design  Excellent  English  language  and communication skills
 
Min. 15years (minimum 5 years in design environment) with adequate exposure to Project Design / Engineering and Construction supervision environment, related to loss prevention (Fire detection / protection and suppression system etc.) in building industry.  
Good  experience/knowledge  of  Inspection  &  testing  aspects/procedures  of  Loss  prevention systems & materials/applications in building industry Client / Consultancy Experience in Design engineering / installation of Loss prevention systems for High rise structures including office buildings,  medical  center,  training  facilities  and  sports &recreational facilities.
Experience in QRA associated with building industry.
 
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible  for  coordinating  engineering  /design  of  Loss  prevention  systems  of  QPCP (including Fire detection and protection systems, emergency evacuation  and escape etc.) * Reviewing  /preparing  project  specific  requirements  /  scope  for  Loss  prevention  philosophy, design basis based on best available/applicable international building industry, QP standards * Ensuring that corporate requirements / procedures as applicable for the loss prevention system and equipment design are addressed during design of QPCP.
* Ensuring the technical quality, safety and cost effectiveness in Loss prevention system design
by:
! Participating in the design reviews, Risk analysis, HAZOP studies (Hazard & operability as applicable to QPCP), with Design Consultant for development of Loss prevention system design  philosophy  (like  Fire  detection  and  protection,  emergency  safety  of  personnel  / equipment, evacuation systems etc.), and review of detailed design of QPCP.s specific Loss prevention.s core system architecture & equipment.
! Reviewing  design  inputs,  cost  effectiveness & fitness  for  purpose of design  solutions  for QPCP,  documentation,  drawings & design Control aspects of associated  deliverables for Loss prevention

* Approving designs and verifying that the systems are fit-for-purpose.
* Reviewing the deliverables for loss prevention system, produced by Consultant and monitoring timely  approval  of  deliverables.  Preparing  &  providing  inputs  for  management  reporting  of progress of design and engineering work.
* Coordinating with other  discipline engineers (electrical, HVAC & MEP systems)  for overall compatibility of design networking with BMS and other systems interfaces.
* Reviewing inputs of cost estimates for Loss prevention works provided by Design consultants at different stages of design work up to and including preparation of construction tender * Coordinating  with  Design  Consultant  for  preparing  bid  scope of  construction  tenders  for  the Loss prevention system and installations which will be part of construction Contractor.s scope * Ensuring  adequacy  and  accuracy  of  the  Material  procurement  scope  and  performance specifications,  defining  criteria  for  vendor  selection  and  procurement  strategy  input  for equipment of Loss prevention systems * Reviewing  the  construction  contractor.s  Tender  submission  for  Loss  prevention discipline for adequacy, capabilities, resources , technical strengths and seeking necessary clarifications, in case of deficiency, and final acceptance.  
* Keeping  abreast of  current  technology  developments  and  regulations  of  Local  and  National authorities  in  Loss  prevention  engineering,  through  various  trade  journals,  publications,  and other interactions. Discuss & Disseminate/circulate to the project team the information on latest relevant technologies, for feasibility / applicability during appropriate stages of  Project * Assisting ,providing technical support to Engineering Major Projects department, ! During any other engineering  design assignments,  related to Loss  prevention  system fabrication, testing, installation and commissioning stages, which often involve site visits.  
! For reviewing existing corporate engineering Standards and Specifications. Contributing to the  updating  of  Loss  prevention  discipline  Engineering  Standards,  Specifications  and Corporate Philosophies.  
* Attending site progress meetings, Coordinating with Design consultant for ! Effective supervision to ensure that all Loss prevention system installation work undertaken by  Contractor  is  in  accordance  with  the  specifications  and  Contract  requirements, Monitoring work progress of discipline specific site work and certification of work progress /constraint and completion.
! Monitoring timely response from Consultant to tackle technical queries raised by Contractor /  work  front,  faulty workmanship evidenced  at  site  by  site  personnel. Ensuring  tests  and inspection of works are carried out in line with the specifications, and ensuring sign off of the relevant test certificates.
! Following up for all 3rd party inspection review, witness &approval of testing & certification as applicable ! Reviewing and  following up with contractor  for close out  of Checklist points in  pre- commissioning and commissioning stages through time bound corrective action/review.  
* Reviewing  with  design  Consultant  recommendations/performance  specifications  for  the material requisitions for Procurement by QP as applicable.
* Inspecting  premises  of  contractors,  and  witness  vendors,  Factory/Site  acceptance  tests (FAT/SAT). Preparing inspection reports as applicable.
* Reviewing  with  Consultant  the  test  reports  to  ensure  all  material  and  their  performance specifications, identified by construction contractor comply with QPCP specifications.
* Coordinating  and  reviewing  with  consultant,  marked-up  and  as-built  drawings,  Vendor's  / Manufacturer.s data book.
* Preparing  &  providing  inputs  for  construction  progress,  commissioning  activities  for  Loss prevention works and other reports to management as required for QPCP.
* Participating  and  assisting  in  the  development  of  pre-commissioning  and  commissioning checklists  and  action  plans  and  documentation  aspects  (vendor.s  pre-commissioning  and commissioning operation manual / procedures etc.) in coordination with Lead Commissioning coordinator and other discipline engineers as applicable and their follow-up until close out.
* Assisting in reviewing of construction site HSE plans prepared by construction Contractor with QP.s Safety engineer and consultants for evaluating compliance to QP safety procedures.
* Participating,  assisting  and  coordinating  the  preparation  &  finalization  of  project  closeout report.
