Health Club - Sprinkler Protection - Hazard Classification
« on: March 07, 2007, 03:54:52 PM »
Can anyone advise on what the typical sprinkler protection hazard classification for a Health Club would be?

I anticipate OH1 on the basis that the fire load would be little different to an office. OH1 would also encompass Restaurants/Cafes under the LPC rules.

Thanks very much, Jon

I'm not certain to what extent Health Clubs have gymnasium type equipment - for instance could there stored foam-filled mats which would provide a higher fire loading than an office? Back to your FRA, perhaps, to estimate the fire load?
