I was interested and surprised to note on page 31 of the March FEJ of the use of a fire curtain to provide smoke protection and form a lobby to separate a passenger lift that doubles as a firefighting lift from the office accommodation.

Have I misunderstood the article- does anybody know details of the case and the depth and spec of the curtain?
Whilst there are safeguards in place- including video surveillance of the lobby area- I wonder if this is the first time such an arrrangement has been approved  in this way?
