For the last 4 years I have tested the pump on Crash Firefighting vehicles every 3 months. Has this changed? Just left RAF Fire service and told It is not a requirement anymore. any so in Domestic vehicles, but what about Crash Vehicles e.g RIV MFV, Im sure it still needs to be done as it says so in the Fire Service manual (2004). Is this now out of date?? Please if you have any evidence of knowledge of this I'd be most grateful.

Pump tests quarterly, run to check prime with all suction connected (tests suction at same time). That's the test.

thanks mate, i knew all that, the question was are these tests still done on RIV's quarterly?just I was told they werent. But i believe they are!!

The test applies to pumps (in LAFRS) so not to which vehicle they may be fitted, if not portable.
