What is disabled, a zone or a sounder circuit?

On the assumption that you are not one, my advice would be to call your fire alarm servicing contractor and ask them to repair it.

On a lot of panels a disablement is a function that can (wrongly in my opinion) be carried out by the end user. Funnily enough not on a Gent Xenex (the instructions for this are in the install manual, not the user manual).
Easy enough to get out of if you are confident with your system, otherwise call your maintenance company.
You need to sort this out quickly as you probably have detection zone or sounder circuit(s) disabled.

Maria do you know who disabled the zone, when and why?
Whoever did this should have recorded it in the log book?

How to enable a zone
Enter the AL2 ac cess code.
Check that the
Access/function lamp is lit.
Press the shift and 2 buttons
followed by the number of the
zone to be re-enabled.
The previously disabled zone
is re-enabled.

A very large proportion of our call outs are to panels that have had various functions disabled by users pressing buttons seemingly at random.
Some disablements are caused by the user thinking that "disable" means the damn thing will stop making a noise! - it often does go quiet when all functions are disabled!
Most are in HMOs - "what log book mate?"
Its time that manufacturers were allowed to design a HMO specific panel with 2 buttons ONLY - silence and reset!
