Ventilation
« on: January 24, 2008, 06:08:49 PM »
Can anyone direct me to information regarding changes of air in buildings?  Specifically, I'm looking at an oil store, about 2000lts in drums and containers and a battery charging area about 2m away, this area was the garage office last time I came here, now the doors and windows have been fixed shut. starting to wiff in there with the spill under the duck boards.

Thinking explosive limits and battery charging might be an exciting mix!

The end of this document contains the information you require.

However it may be worth checking with an M&E consultant as well -  I used the formula in the HSE document on one job in isolation and it indicated a requirement for ventilation 4 times that of the M&E calculations which took account of natural leakage paths.
