How about this fire safety invention ?

Hello everyone

I saw an new invention for building fire safety recently,and I think it is a bit interesting . Would you take a look?

Isn't it just an abseiling device?

Also my undersatnding is that it requires special hooks to have been fitted securely at each likely 'emergency exit'

New my rear!

Looks like a variant of the Davy and other self rescuers that were around 80 years ago!

Which in itself suggests it's usefulness - if they were around 50-80 years ago, but not any longer- why?  :-)

AnthonyB, he has already tackled that question somewhere. It's because people don't care about their own safety.

I think it's a good idea, and the following quotes are PROOF.

"people below your floors maybe hurted when you spread down your ladders "

"sometimes death always comes before rescue"

"prejudice against Chinese patents should be quitted"

There's just no arguing with it. Not even PhilB could disagree that this is clearly a superior option to even building a protected staircase for people to walk down.

Where do you find these things!?

I simply take a parachute with me everywhere I go.....



......except basements, where i swap it for a spade.
