I carried out my NEBOSH, (only at Certificate level), at Plymouth College of Further Education in 2000, 2 choices of course, 1 day a week for 13 weeks or an intense 2 week course, I had to opt for the former as I was still in the service, but I reccomend the latter to prevent "Brain-Fade" between topics. I found the fire safety element sadly lacking and my course mates from other job environments struggled so I helped them out. The most important thing I wanted to say here is that the NEBOSH counted a long way in points scoring for my HNC Fire Safety from UCLAN, it is definatley worth doing as when I carry out FRA's I can also identify other safety issues that are not fire related, with some sort of competencey and background....a useful tool
