Yes mate I bought it a few weeks ago and it was a great investment. I recently filled in my application form for Kent and it was spot on. Some good tips for completing the application form. I think the man who did the guide works for the Fire Brigade in recruitment. I was very pleased with the purchase,
Let me know how you get on,
Dave

I have seen the 'how2become' CD in other versions (they do versions for the marines, the police, PCSO, paramedic, pilot etc etc) and they seem to be quite good.

The 'How2become' CD seems to be at odds with the "So you want to become a firefighter" DVD the service send out.  The official DVD doesn't mention any aspect of selection prior to the written tests, except the self assesmnet on the DVD, yet the 'How2become' CD goes into graphic detail about the PQA questionnaire in the application form.

Is it that the official DVD isn't up to date and the pQA questionaire hadn't been finished or agreed at the time it was made, or have they dropped the PQA since 'How2become' did their CD?

I think it may be the former, or a version of it.

Hi All,

I am new to this forum, but recently brought this DVD and was really gutted to have spent £20 on it.

All it did was read out the PQA's word for word (15 whole minutes of that!!), and then read through the application form which I was already doing myself!

Does anyone know if there is anything else out there?

Any advice is much appreciated,

Cheers,
Alfy
